Security at each level

We know security of your data is crucial, and we treat the security of any data contained within your account as a top priority. Every aspect of CallN is designed to be secure at all levels, to only allow access to the registered users on your account. We are completely committed to all aspects of security, and work to make our hosted service as secure as having a server within your own premises.

Data Encryption

CallN takes security very seriously. All communication between its cloud servers, our clients systems and internet browsers are secured using a 2048 bit secure SSL certificate which helps generate a stronger 256 bit symmetric key used to encrypt communication between end-points. Furthermore, your call recordings can optionally be encrypted at rest in our cloud servers using the AES-256bit algorithm.

Data Sovereignty

Due to sovereignty concerns around the storage of sensitive data, we now store our data in various Amazon storage servers around the world so that your data is stored securely in Australia, the EU and the USA, in your own geographic locale.

User Privileges

CallN only allows access to the authorised users on your account. We provide a granular set of user privileges for you to provide different levels of access to users. CallN uses the highest encryption possible to protect and keep private every communication that a customer has with our service.

 

Application and Data Security

Users are required to provide a valid username and password to access their CallN account. 

cloud-securityIf a user chooses to have the CallN service remember their login, user sessions are stored in an encrypted manner which does not reveal any login information. The application architecture follows all best practices to ensure users only have access to information to which they are given permission. A security model is enforced at every level of the application to prevent a user of another account from accessing your information. Our employees do not have direct access to data stored on the CallN servers, except where necessary for legal compliance, system maintenance and backups. 

 

Server Security and Data Backups

The servers we use have 24-hour physical security and highly controlled server access, as well as redundant power and network systems. The servers have firewall protection and intrusion detection systems, and have a minimal number of access points. We employ a range of measures in server security and maintenance to protect services from access by outside intruders. All audio recordings are stored using a data storage array across multiple physical locations designed to ensure security and integrity.

 

User Connection Security

When uploading recordings or accessing your account via a web browser, a very strong SSL certificate is always used. This encrypted communication is both secure and private.

 

Customer On-Site Backup

An ‘archive’ of each months calls may be downloaded by the account owner to store as a local ‘on-site’ permanent copy for extra piece of mind and for regulation/audit purposes. These ‘archives’ can then be recorded onto DVD etc. and stored for as long as legally required.
